Adding NIS domains

You can maintain host information centrally using NIS. You can use the Create NIS Domain dialog box to add the NIS domain name of your storage system. Only one NIS domain can be active on a Storage Virtual Machine (SVM) at any given time.

Steps

1.	From the home page, double-click the appropriate storage system.

2.	Expand the Storage Virtual Machines hierarchy in the left navigation pane.

3.	In the navigation pane, select the SVM and click Configuration > Services > NIS.

4.	Click Create.

5.	Type the NIS domain name and add one or more NIS servers.

6.	Click Create.
